Woods Basement Systems

In 1986 Rick Woods started a waterproofing company called Basement DeWatering Systems Metro-East, Inc. In 1988, when Rick bought out his partner, the name changed to Woods Waterproofing, Inc. Finally in 1998, Woods was recruited to be the Basement Systems dealership for the greater St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois areas, and the company name was changed to Woods Basement Systems, Inc. There are currently more than 300 Basement Systems dealers in six countries that provide state-of-the-art basement waterproofing and crawl space moisture control solutions. Only high-integrity companies are recruited into the Basement Systems dealer network.

Although Woods has changed their name, their Federal Tax ID number NEVER changed, so the corporate identity has always remained intact, and most importantly, all contractual warranties have been maintained.

Rick’s wife Anna Lee, son Wayne, daughter-in-law Susanne, daughter Susan, son-in-law Tim, and cousin Chris Blickenstaff are all management-level employees of Woods Basement Systems. Rick's grandkids, Alli (9 years), Drew (7 years), Nick (6 years), Jack (4 years), twins Sophie & Lily (3 years) and baby Rachel (2 years) are the “real” bosses behind the operation. Woods Basement Systems is one of the largest basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and foundation piering contractors in Illinois and Missouri, and in 2005, Woods was the world’s largest Basement Systems dealer – topping the then existing 240 dealers in six countries! In 2007 they were the second largest Basement Systems dealership.

Woods Basement Systems uses the best foundation repair products available for basement wall straightening and lifting and stabilizing settling foundations.

Presently, Woods Basement Systems operates from five locations, the main office located at 524 Vandalia Street, Collinsville, Illinois. The installation teams operate out of an office in western Collinsville where a new facility is under construction. The third location in Collinsville, IL is located at 524 St. Louis Road. The last two satellite offices are in St. Charles, Missouri and Bloomington, Illinois to help better serve our customers.
