Leading edge processes and materials
Wise Basement Systems uses modern techniques and processes to turn wet basements into dry ones. We don’t build concrete barriers to stop water coming into the basement; water will always, eventually, find a different route. Instead we manage the flow of water – collecting it via our Waterguard sub-floor drainage system before it reaches the usable space and dispersing it, using a low energy pump, away from the building.

The wall systems we use are made of thermally insulated foil which not only provide a barrier against heat loss but also reflect an amazing 97 per cent of heat back into the room. The materials used, and their heat reflecting qualities ensure that they don’t create condensation in the way that many non-insulting plastic membranes do. Once our wall membrane is up, we can attach plasterboard to it or plaster directly on top of it.

Where basements have a concrete floor, we recommend our ThermalDry floor tiles. These tiles provide a hard wearing surface and are a suitable base for carpets and laminate floorings, all while using no wood which can rot, warp and become moldy.

All of our basement systems come complete with our ten-year guarantee if correctly maintained. With this guarantee you can have complete peace of mind that your basement works have been completed to the highest specification and that any problems which develop as a result of faulty materials or workmanship will be resolved at no cost to you. At the end of the ten year period, we are happy to re-commission the system – ensuring that all elements are still functioning correctly – and issue a further guarantee.

The parts and materials which we use meet the appropriate building regulations in Scotland, England and Wales and Northern Ireland and represent the most advanced technologies used in domestic basement environments.
