Weather Advisory Just Posted for SW Montana and What This Snow Could Mean For Spring
Bozeman, MT – The winter is sticking around at least for a weather advisory that has been set for today through Thursday. Although more snow is on the radar, Buffalo Restoration is encouraging homeowners to have their basements waterproofed before the rainy season hits, the excess snow melts and there is an even sloppier mess. All Montanans known that spring brings the most precipitation, but with this week’s weather advisory one could think winter were responsible for that. Unfortunately, this spring might just be a little bit of winter and spring all in one, which means the ground will be extra saturated.
Extra moist soil is of a great concern to homeowners who do not have a form of basement waterproofing, because the water will rise beneath the home and seep into the basement wreaking all sorts of havoc. But, as Buffalo Restoration explains, homeowners need not worry about flooding when a proper basement waterproofing system has been installed.
One of the most important products used to waterproof is the sump pump drainage system, says Buffalo Restoration. A sump pump is installed beneath the ground in the basement and sucks up rising water, to direct it out and away from the foundation and basement.
Before it becomes too late, Buffalo Restoration is encouraging homeowners to have their basement evaluated for free. They offer free estimates for basement waterproofing in Bozeman, MT and all surrounding areas. They also offer crawl space repair and disaster restoration services.
