Nick Farris, Thrasher Basement Systems' Mechanic, and wife, Nicole, are the proud parents of daughter Amelia Charlotte Farris, born on Thursday, March 15th. Amelia was born 12 weeks early and weighs 4 lbs. Proud daddy, Nick, says that everyone is doing well! Congratulations Nick and Nicole and welcome Amelia! Pictures coming soon.

Thrasher is pleased to welcome a new System Design Specialist to our Omaha team. Ryan Penland comes to Thrasher with over 10 years of experience in sales and service roles. As a System Design Specialist, Ryan designs waterproofing and foundation repair solutions for our customers on a daily basis.

For the 2nd consecutive month, Thrasher would like to congratulate Juan Matos, Wilson Martinez, Fernando Medina and Juan Aguilera with both the Crew of the Month and the WOW! Service Award for the month of February. This is the first time that one of our crews has been honored with these awards back to back. These awards are both given to the Thrasher crew that provides exceptional service to their customers and goes above and beyond to make our customerâs happy. This month Juan and his crew received 8 online reviews and had zero service calls on their installations. Each member of the crew received a $50 iTunes gift certificate for their awesome service to our customers! Thank you again for all that you do and congratulations on these well deserved awards!

The annual chili cook-off for Thrasher Basement Systems and Foundation Supportworks was Monday, February 13th. Employees were once again invited to pull out their best chili recipe and bring it in to share with the team. This year our rules were a little different as you could enter either as an individual or a team. We had 10 pots of chili entered into the contest this year.

Basement to Crawlspace Conversions

In the last year, especially after the Missouri River flood of 2011, Thrasher has received many questions regarding converting basements into crawlspaces. Many of these questions have been due to the fact that some basements were severely damaged by the flood and fixing the foundation seems to be cost prohibitive. Others have struggled with significant flooding over the years and feel that it would be best to eliminate the basement and thus eliminate the potential for additional flooding in the future.
