Pete has not only been an experienced crawl space contractor for many years, he also holds a BA in Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from Northwestern University. He was a Lieutenant in the US Naval reserve and served one tour of duty in the Viet Nam war. This diverse experience as well as his strong desire to contribute to the welfare of the community, led him to found Tar Heel Basement Systems. He passionately believes in the benefits of the CleanSpace System and WaterGuard as a basement waterproofing solution in Winston Salem.

Upon learning of The CleanSpace System, Pete traveled to Basement Systems headquarters in Seymour, Connecticut to learn about, and be certified in, The CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, which he installed in his own home. In business since June 2003, Pete has donated two jobs to Habitat For Humanity. He is a member of the local Camber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau of NW North Carolina, local Home Builders Association. Pete was a licensed building contractor, and his salesman are certified home inspectors and radon testing in North Carolina.
