Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in soil & rock throughout many places on earth. This gas is the second leading cause of Lung Cancer trailing only cigarette smoking. It is almost always present in our outside air at low levels. The health concern is when it enters our home & becomes trapped. The test takes 2-4 days and is mailed to a lab, the results take approximately 10 days. If you would prefer a professional to do a computerized monitor test it will usually cost $150.00 for a professional to set up the monitor, it will take the same 2-4 day but the results can be given at the conclusion of the test.
