Comment: Hello. We're currently planning a kitchen remodel, and our general contractor noticed we have some issues with our foundation. I would love it if we could get an assessment as to how bad of shape the foundation is in, how soon we would need to get it repaired (depending on how bad it is), as well as what the estimated cost would be. I'm also curious if we get the kitchen done now and the foundation done later, could the foundation fix damage something in the new kitchen (they plan to rip the floor up to the sub floor). Thank you. Additional information: Preferred Method of Contact:: Email

Comment: Water getting into our new house through basement wall cracks. Need to divert the water from the foundation. Debating if i should hire someone to dig around the foundation to seal with black mastic and add 2" polystyrene foam wall with expanding polyurethane foam for a tight fit. Also to install an exterior French drain. How much would this type of thing cost vs. trying to do it ourselves?

Comment: WE live in a older home with a cement block basement. we did not have any water problem for 20 years. the last 5 or 6 years we starting getting water in one area after heavy rain or when the snow melts. We do not have a sump pump and do not know how houses were tiled in about 1942. I am not sure of the age of this house. The water comes in where the floor and walls meet.
