PRESENTS 2009 TORCH AWARDS

AquaGuard Basement Systems, Inc. was bestowed the 2009 Torch Award for Market Place Ethics, Customer Service and First Runner Up for Community Service on April 22nd by The Better Business Bureau serving the Metro Atlanta, Athens and Northeast Georgia Chapter

AquaGuard wins Ethics AwardGeorgia Senator Johnny Isakson also said it best at the 2006 Better Business Bureau Torch Award Banquet for Marketplace Ethics; “If a company in the foundation repair and basement waterproofing business can exhibit integrity and ethics then they must be doing something right!” This year, 2009 marked the 4th year in a row that AquaGuard has received the award for Market Place Ethics. This was our first year for Customer Service and first runner up for Community Service. All types of businesses are invited to apply for this award that included BBB Accredited Businesses and those that are not accredited with the BBB as long as they maintain a satisfactory report with the BBB. These awards are given each year to companies that prove time and time again that customer service, integrity, and marketplace ethics are the first and foremost priority in running that business.

When the BBB announced a Business Ethics contest for the Atlanta area, it just seemed a natural fit that AquaGuard would enter year after year. AquaGuard’s owner, Tom DiGregorio, is a person of high integrity, and has successfully grown the company based on the ethical treatment of customers in a market that was not always accustomed to that kind of treatment. Fifteen years ago when Tom established AquaGuard Waterproofing Contractors he adopted as his logo “A Service Company with Integrity, A Contractor who Cares”. He chose that motto after much consideration, and throughout the years, he has continued to teach and emphasize that motto to every employee. It is used on all of AquaGuard’s letterhead, business cards and advertising.

AquaGuard opened its doors in 1995 in a small 2,500 square foot metal building on Merrit Street in Marietta, Georgia with two employees, and now has over 40 employees.  The company’s main focus then was on new construction foundation waterproofing. In 1999 AquaGuard aligned itself with the internationally renowned Basement Systems, Inc., a company with over 400 dealers worldwide, and changed its name to AquaGuard Basement Systems. AquaGuard is ranked in the top 25 internationally among dealers.  Basement Systems has 23 patented and proven waterproofing products and systems that are offered through AquaGuard Basement Systems to the residential and commercial market.  AquaGuard Basement Systems also aligned itself with Grip-Tite, one of the largest manufacturers of foundation repair products and systems that have been in business for over 70 years. AquaGuard specializes in foundation stabilizing and repair, basement waterproofing and crawlspace encapsulation.

AquaGuard Basement Systems was awarded “Highest Rating” by an independent consumer research organization in the category Waterproofing Contractors 10 years in a row, and in the category of Foundation Repair Contractors seven years in a row.  AquaGuard was awarded the “Consumers Choice” for eight straight years for business excellence. They are also a proud member of NAWSRC since July 1998, NFIB, Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and NARI, just to name a few.
