After six years in business, Martin

Bates, owner of Advanced Basement

Systems, has decided to move his head

office from Essex to Chatham.

"It's more centrally located," Bates said.

"We cover as far east as Woodstock and as

far north as Owen Sound."

The business has been doubling every

year so by moving to Chatham, Bates will

be able to reach his customers faster by

saving on travel time as well as saving on

fuel.

Bates, who has been a mason for over

20 years, has a lot of construction experience,

which only adds to his capability to

do the best job possible. He currently has

three large trucks and three crews, who

are all certified technicians.

Advanced Basement Systems has a

variety of products to repair wet basements

and crawl spaces, and keep them

dry. The sump pumps are patented and

there is no plumber needed since the

pumps are installed and serviced by the
