Crawl Space Repair Contractors in New Hampshire

Your New Hampshire crawl space is a key to your home’s health. If your crawl space begins to rot, grow mold, or experience structural problems, this has the potential to extend to every part of your house.

Many homes in New Hampshire have dirt, vented or unconditioned concrete crawl spaces. This can be very detrimental to homes because moisture vapor and high humidity in the soil moves easily from the dirt into your crawl space and then into the rest of the home. Moisture ruins houses by providing a hospitable environment for mold, fungi, and insects that destroy wood framing. Crawl space moisture, and the mold and mildew that thrive in this environment, affect not only the floor system directly above, but also the entire house.

CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System

The CleanSpace system completely isolates your home from the earth, dramatically reducing the humidity level in the air and, in some cases, eliminating mold growth, rot, and critters from your crawl space. It not only makes the entire house healthier, but also makes it more energy efficient.

Basement Systems, Inc has dealers who install the CleanSpace System throughout New Hampshire, offering, Crawl Space Insulation in New Hampshire, including Berlin, Concord, Dover, Keene Lebanon, Manchester, Portsmouth and any surrounding areas.

This was a very good company to work with. I worked directly with Matt Clark and he was very responsive and accommodating. The only service I had was encapsulation of a basement that has a dirt floor and "knee walls" in a seasonal residence. I needed to reduce a very bad humidity problem that developed. The crew did a very good job of leveling the dirt and removing large stones prior to installing the mat and liner. I highly recommend the mat, as it provides an additional layer of protection to support the liner. It has been one week since the installation. Unfortunately, while the musty smell is gone, the humidity problem is still an issue because the surface of the liner is wet from condensation (no pipes are leaking). I believe the purpose of the liner is to reduce, not completely eliminate, the temperature difference that leads to the humidity. So I will use a dehumidifier for awhile and see if that eliminates the condensation problem. If it does, it will leave me wondering whether I spent a lot of money to encapsulate the basement when all I needed was to run a dehumidifier! The basement walls have some foam insulation that runs the perimeter at the top of the walls, but it may turn out that I need to add more insulation. Time will tell - one step at a time!
