View Full Version : Pumps run Constantly in Crawlspace!
I live in a town that has an extremely high water table. The previous owner (who was also the builder) dug an extremely large crawlspace (5') which I believe he intended to be a basement and changed his mind due to the high water table. We've had a lot of flooding lately and our two pumps run non-stop until the water table lowers which could be months! Is there anyway to pump the water to an outside pump so I don't have to stay awake at night listening to this? I NEVER sleep! I'll take ANY suggestions! I would appreciate any help! I am desperate. Thanks.

Hello,
Your problem is not uncommen. Wheree are you located in IL.?
We have a couple of great dealers who can help you. Please let me know as they would need to inspect your crawl to give you a solution.

We live in Wilmington, IL and I was told by a civil engineer that there is nothing that we can do. The water is definitely ground water coming up and not from anywhere else. Everyone on our blocks pumps are constantly running but ours runs the longest since our crawl is so deep.
The dealer in your area is located in Downers Grove, IL Perma-Seal Basement Systems 630-512-0002.
Thanks for the information but I don't think that they can help if the water is high from the water table. This only occurs at that time and not during the summer months. There are no cracks in the crawlspace so it's not leaking.
