WaterGuard vs DrainTile

Hi,
I have a dilemma what system to install WaterGuard versus DrainTile.
I was told that waterguard intercepts all water coming through walls and footage but water will be in the house already. Maybe the better solution is to keep water away from the house by using exterior DrainTile.
I selected a WaterGuard as less distractive. Please respond ASAP. I'm only a week away from installation.

I think you've made the right decision, most homes are built with exterior drain tile to begin with and they end up leaking. Installing waterguard will also control water coming from the walls or under the floor at the point of entry, the floor wall joint. There is also a tremendous amout of disruption with exterior excavation and if there is a problem it may be hard to find.
