Hello.
I just had the cleanspace system installed and now want to insulate my crawlspace. The crawlspace is 20' x 30' and has a 6' ceiling. Generally, it stays in the 60s during the winter (I live in Wisconsin) but the floors of the rooms above feel cold. I've read that heated crawlspaces should be insulated at the walls and unheated at the floor joists. Technically, this would be a non-heated space (no cold air return or heater vents) but it does have ductwork and plumbing running thru it. I guess by most definitions it is "heated."
I have the following ideas:
1. Install rigid foam over the cleanspace liner (held by 2x2s at top and tapcons at bottom)
2. Put insulation between the floor joists and leave the rest as is (its been that way for 39 years).
Any advice? Thanks.
