Is there any way to control the rising lake water level during the spring snow melting and rain. I have 2 sump pumps running but still have a couple of inches of water. Any type of pump that can keep up with the rising water? This only lasts a couple of days until the heavy rains stop. The house is only 2 years old.

There's not much you can do about mother nature or a rising lake. That is what comes with living close to the shore or lakes and rivers.

There are always bigger pumps but do you have a drain system that collects the water and brings it to the pumps? that is the first question. Where does the pumped water drain? and what is going on with the downspouts and grading around the home?

The best thing to do is have a Basement Systems dealer come out for a free inspection and estimate to evaluate the situation. You can call us at 1-800-541-0487 for a dealer near you.

I have a foot of 3/4 crushed stone under the slab and 2 sump basins. The grading pitches well away from the foundation as well as the gutter downspouts.

It sound like you have a good scenerio, you may just need bigger pumps or other drainage. I would have a professional come out and take a look. Without actually seeing the property it would be hard to give you an exact solution.
