We live in a Ryan Built home which has a wood foundation and we have had water problems in our below grade finished basement. Over the last 12 years, we've lost our finished family room 5 times. Over the years , we have spent money on outside drains, concrete work and sealers, to no luck. Seems most contractors / engineers tell us we're good for a 100 years storm, well in the past 10 years, we've had five. Can your system be installed in a basement that has an exterior marine grade plywood, 2x6 stud walls, and drywall and paneling finish. We are at our wits end and would like to have help from someone that has dealt with these problems and can give us some sound advice and supply a permanent fix.

Thanks

Thanks for your question about the wood foundation. A wood foundation is a rare, and to be honest I wouldnt know until someone was able to inspect the situation. We have many methods of waterproofing below grade spaces. I know some of our dealer have worked with wood foundations in the past. Please contact your local Basement Systems dealer or call us at 1-800-541-0487 to have contact a dealer.

Thanks

I just wanted to post an update on my wood foundation and basement situation. During very heavy rains, we have had water problems in our below grade finished family room for the past 18 years. In July, the room was flooded so bad the we had to gut everything including drywall and insulation and start over. In August, I contacted Basement Systems of WV and asked them to look at the job and figure out a method to keep our wet basement dry before I refinished the room. They came to our home and made several suggestions on possible methods to help solve our water problem. They were very professional, prompt, did all the work we aggreed on, and left the room cleaner than they found it.

Ok now here's the test of the work. Last week we had over 3 inches of rain in a 2 hour period, a type of rain that would surely flooded us again; but ......we had a dry family room. Neighbors all around us were suffering water problems......us, well we had a dry basement. If you suffer from chronic water problems, you can't imagine the piece of mind my wife and I felt after 18 years of being up during thunder storms pacing the house. NO MORE......we're finally dry. Thank-you Basement Systems of WV and Basement Systems.

Happy Thanksgiving.........we're dry

Which of their solutions did they use in your home?
