For an interior waterproofing solution, two different companies have proposed similar solutions (cutting a channel in the floor and installing drain pipe that will convey the water to a sump pump). However, they differ on the drain pipe to be used. One company proposes using rigid white drain pipe with slits every foot, and the other proposes using the flexible corrugated drain pipe with slits cut into the plastic fairly randomly. Which drain pipe is better or is there a difference?

To be honest I beleive that a third option is the best, WaterGuard which is rigid and sits on the footing not down in the mud. The other two are basically the same. I would recommend having a Basement Systems Dealer come out for a free inspection. There are also many other things to consider like the sump system, airtight top, alarms, ice guard for frozen discharges, battey backups, wall coverings, and many other possible options.
