The current drainage system inside the crawl space does not work(3" of stone install then covered with dirt/clay/sand). It is most likly clogged throughout due to the soil & time. When the water table is up I have standing water throughout most of the crawl space. I want to have a CleanSpace liner installed but a sump pump system was said to be optional. Is this correct? Why would I want standing water underneith the liner at any point in time? Is there no harm? My thought was to install new tile w/sump pump then have the liner installed. What are your thoughts?

Thank you,

Tim

Hello,
If you are getting standing water at anytime, install a super sump system. You are correct, sand does not work at keeping a crawl space dry, in many cases, it makes it worse.
Have a super sump installed with your CleanSpace system.
Thanks for asking.
