Insulation check list.

I just want to understand the process. Please verify that all steps listed are correct.

Vents are sealed with a 2 in thick foam insulation and polyurethane chalk

Dirt is cleaned (raked) and to some degree graded. All sharp and large rocks will be removed or buried.

Overlapping of clean space should be a minimum of 12 inches in and taped at seams in all areas where overlapping is needed.

Clean space should be wrapped up 6in up all columns and pipes and then taped.

Clean space is placed on wall s and fasteners are placed every 4 ft along the top edge and polyurethane chalk is used.

Hi,
Part of the key is to stop the outside air from coming in the crawl space. You should check with your CleanSpace installer and see what they say about your crawl space. We have many new products including smat drain, CleanSpace vent covers, wall cap etc. Your crawl may need mechanical dehumidification as well.
