Is the "wellduct" a Basement Systems Product?

I've spoken to another contractor and he would use PCV pipe to drain the window wells.

I'm a little concerned about the possibility that the wellduct could become plugged and since it is not waranteed by the basement system contractor it becomes my job to determine how to unplug it.

I have to say that I understand how to rod out a piece of PVC.

Since the plan is to install an interior drain tile I might be happier if they just used pipe to drain the wells. I might ask the Basement systems contrator to consider this or I might just go with the other contractor as I wouldn't want to be a first for this.

WellDuct is a basement Systems product. It has been in use for about five years now and clogging has not been an issue. Any window well drain installed properly shouldnt clog. The wellduct also looks better and is less obtrusive on the wall. Although draining window wells is a consideral part of any water control system, the key components shouldnt be overlooked. The WaterGuard, SuperSump, IceGuard, waterwatch alarm are key features with a Basement Systems system.
