Drainage Fabric

Our local basement systems contractor will install an interior drain tile. They put drainage fabric over the tile/stone and up the wall about 6 inches. What do they use for this? Is it a Basement Systems product? What does it look like? They tell me bugs through this stuff isn't an issue. The wellduct looks like it pokes behind this. Is the fit at the wellduct tight enough to preclude bugs?

While I am not worried about bugs originating from below the basement floor, what about from the wellduct and what about the occasional bug coming in form more normal avenues deciding this is the best nesting area in the world?

The drainage fabric is not a Basement Systems product. For some reason however the dealer must feel this is nessesary on your job.

The only way bug could enter a Wellduct is from the exterior. However any window drain would be the same. If you do have a problem with bugs its just best to call a pest control company.
