Drywall and studs

I am installing a full perimeter system in a partially finished basement next week and I was instructed to cut the sheetrockat least 8 inches from the floor. (I cut 10.) I now see that the studs look like they might present a problem, and I am very concerned because I really don't want to cut those or worse, remove the whole wall.

Can the system be installed without destroying my wall?

Depending on the installation conditions you may be able to, however you must talk to your local installer so they can determine what is possible in your basement.
