We had new landscaping placed at the front of our home. The bushes and plants required frequent watering which was done by allowing the hose to run at a low rate at the base of the bush/plant. We noticed a small amount of water showing up on our basement floor which seemed to be coming up from where I had previously drilled holes to anchor a bar to the floor. Since the landscaping is now a couple of years old I no longer need to water heavily in that area. Also, I have filled these holes with a hydraulic cement. We don't seem to have any water problems continuing that I can see. 1) Would it be considered normal to get some seepage when a large quantity of water builds up against the foundation wall when watering? 2) Do you think I have solved my probem?

Most basements leak from excess water around the foundation or backfill saturation. Basements get wet when it rains, and that is from surface water that saturates the backfill and will usually enter the basement at the floor wall joint around the perimeter. You certainly could have caused your own seepage problem. As far as it ever leaking again theres no guarantee. Just try to keep as much water away from the foundation.
