Sump Pump Drainage

I have a question! The sump pump drain pipe Basement Systems put underground is draining directly into the street, causing DOT to leave me a nasty note. How far from the curb should this pipe be draining? Can the pipe be redirected? I'm afraid that the icey mess my sump pump drainage is causing will cause an accident on our street (which is a main road). There is only a couple of feet from where the pipe lets out the water to the curb. Thanks for your help! I have to call DOT this morning to state my case and I'm hoping you can help!

In most cases the discharge line can be relocated. I don't know the details or the conversation you had with the Systems Design Specialist but you should contact that person first.
Check with the local town officials, each town may have special restrictions or lieniencies so check with them.
In either case you should call the dealer.
