Hello we are looking to purchase a house that has a radon problem. We also want to put in a escape window and will llike to put in the water gaurd along with the sump pump. We have been told that if we do this that by using the water gaurd system it could allow more radon gas to come into the house. Can you tell me if this true? We are planning to have a radon pit installed to elevate the radon problem but they say because we are going to use the water gaurd system that they will not gaurante that the radon problem could be come worse. Have you had any problems like this before with the water gaurd system.

Coach,
It is possible that radon gas can escape out of the WaterGaurd system. Whether you know you have a radon problem or not you can still install WaterGaurd with a wall system. By installing the wall system and tucking it in behind the WaterGaurd you can seal the top of the WaterGaurd flange allowing wall seepage to enter the WaterGaurd.
Also by installing a Basement Systems pump system you will have a liner with an air tight lid.
