I have three quick questions with a home that I just bought:
1. My sump pump appears not to be filling up with any water when it rains. Is this normal?
2. My ejector runs once every minute? How do I get this to stop?
3. My ejector liner is buckled slightly in on the side with a slight seperation where a drain hose is coming from the side of the slab. A plumber said the liner should eventually be replaced and would entail jack-hammering out the concrete around the liner to get the liner out. He said the project could cost up to $3000 to replace the liner. The home was built in '98, what would cause the liner to buckle like this and what is the cheapest way to replace it?

THANK YOU!

If you have a subfloor drainage system in place the seepage would drain through the system and into the sump. If there is no subfloor drainage system and all that is installed is a sump it would be normal for there to be no water. It depends on the soil under the slab if water can filter through and make it to the area of the sump.
As far as the ejector questions we are waterproofers and you would need to consult with a licensed plumber.
