Encapsulation over painted walls?

I just had a quote for cleanspace to be installed on my walls. Two of the basement walls were painted by the previous owner. I have concern about mold growing on the paint behind cleanspace. Is this a valid concern? Since they have already been painted should I first paint them with a mildew resistant finish?

I was hoping for a response so I can make an informed decision.
