View Full Version : Energy costs to run SaniDry Dehumidifier Upright model?
What are the energy costs (kilowatts per hr) to run the Sanidry Dehumidifier Upright System at it's highest speed, and at it's lowest speed? Thank you.
Hi,
It is hard to give a KW per hour avg. on a SaniDry (http://www.basementsystems.com/dehumidifier/). It is a system that is on demand for the relative humidity (http://www.basementsystems.com/learning_center/dehumidification/humidity.php) in the area. I can give you statistics on cost per gallon of water removed from the air, A standard 35 pint unit is about 11 cents per gallon and the SaniDry is 3.1 cents per gallon.
I can also give you this:
(watts) x (hours used per day) x (days used per year) divided by (1000) = kWh consumption.
Cost per kWh used (usage) x kWh consumption = annual cost.
Please note:
Each Area / State has a different charge for kWh usage. You would need to get that information for your area. To get watts: Watts = Amps x Volts
