We are in the process of having a comprehensive Basement System?including Cleanspace liner, Smart Drain w/ sump pumps and battery backup, dehumidifier, and a drainage conduit consisting of sections of sleeved 4-inch corrugated black pipe (about 100 feet total)?installed in our crawl space.

Please call 843-556-3465 today with answers to the following (If I am not available, you may speak to Wilma Fulcher):

1. Do you have a record of Randy Bishop and All Pro (of Charleston, SC) having installed any Smart Drains previously? Any Cleanspace liners?

2. The aforementioned corrugated pipe is being installed around the crawlspace perimeter and terminating at the Smart Drain. The pipe being used has finger-sized holes on one half?running the entire length of the pipe--while the other half is solid. To obtain maximum drainage potential, should the holes be placed up, down, on the side, randomly, or does it matter?

3. Should the drainage be expected to occur within the pipe itself, or in the earthen canal in which the pipe is laid, with the pipe merely acting to prevent the canal walls from collapsing?

4. Which conduit is more efficient, the pipe or the earth?

5. Should the pipe be installed on a slope to facilitate drainage? If no slope, or even an incline, can the sump pumps be expected to pull the water through the drainage canal?

We look forward to hearing back today. Thank you very much
