I have about 10" of water in my crawl space during the rainy season. Now I just bought this house ,it has a basket ball court in the back yard . I was wondering if the cement slab for the court could be causing some problems it also runs right along a drainage ditch which runs the width of my back yard. This ditch also backs up during rain storms it also happens to be city limits line . I need some ideas to romedy my problem.

Call the town highway super next time it rains hard, and have them come look. They may need to excavate the ditch in your neighborhood.
Sounds like you live in a swamp. You may need to get a sump and sump pump installed in your crawlspace. Poly sheeting won't help until you get the water out.

Hello,
A sump pump will help keep the crawl space dry, but it sounds like you have an exterior problem as well. I wouls check with your town to see if they can help.
