One of my walls has mildew, covering about 8-10 inches from the floor up. This just appeared over the last couple of years. I'm thinking it could be from the down spouts on the side of the house as they were clogged. Also, when we have heavy rain, water pools there, gushing from the underground drains the down spouts feed in to. Does this assumption sound reasonable? or could this be a more serious issue such as leaking at the bottom of the foundation? I don't want to go through the expense of a basement system if I only need to replace the outside drain. TIA

dougr,

It's difficult to diagnose a situation without seeing it. I would have your local Basement Systems dealer come out for a Free Inspection & Estimate, and they'll be able to tell you what's going on.
