My basement is dry but have discovered some cracks in the cement foundation. The worst crack starts above grade(3 ft.above)and goes about a foot below grade but not to the floor. The crack does appear to be straight through but very thin.Do you guys repair this type of stuff also.?And do you do preventitive waterproofing (sm hairline foudation cracks)if there is not yet leaking present? Thanks

Thanks for the question. Cracks in poured foundation walls are very common. The one thing you can guarantee about concrete is that it will crack. Depending on the age of the home, the cracks may or may not continue to grow. If they are common shrinkage cracks that are not leaking you may want to just leave them? Some homes can have cracks that never leak, some leak right away. If you really wanted to do something preventative about the crack to insure a dry basement we could look at them and recommend a repair process.
