We recently had 24 inches of snow and then a rapid melting to higher than norm temps. We've lived in this house for 2 years and the hopuse itself is 30 years old. Well, due to the radid melting, we got water in our crawl space. We had a company come out and get the water out. They had a dehum and fans going in there and racked the dirt. The space is still damp and the concrete walls continue to get moisture from somewhere. Will this be a continuing problem or is it due to the rapid meltdown and the ground is still frozen? We've given thought to pouring concrete on the floor but will this keep the water out if it should happen again? This is the first time we or our neighbors have ever seen this problem at our place.

ricknlissy,
Pouring a concrete floor, may or may not solve the problem, but because it doesn't address the water that is sitting around your foundation, it doesn't seem like the best solution -- it's also fairly expensive.
Basement Systems does have a great solution for a crawl space (http://www.basementsystems.com/crawlspace/) that addresses more than just the waterproofing issue, and costs a lot less than pouring concrete. Read about the CleanSpace (http://www.basementsystems.com/crawlspace/crawlspace_products/crawlspace_vapor_barrier.php) crawl space encapsulation (http://www.basementsystems.com/crawlspace/crawlspace_products/crawlspace_vapor_barrier.php) system on our Web site.
