I get some weepage around the perimeter of my block basement walls where they meet the floor. Nothing too severe, just enough to be a pain and get rugs wet if it rains and the ground is saturated. I have a sump pump already, and was looking at the Dry Trak. Would this be a good solution. I would like to install it myself to save money if that is possible.

rjezuit,
The proper basement waterproofing system (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/) to use depends on the makeup of your basement -- which your local Basement Systems dealer can discuss with you. If the DryTrak (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/basement_waterproofing_system/drytrak.php) baseboard system is the best solution, this is not an easy one to install -- nor really is any other that will get you the result you are looking for -- which is a DRY basement ALL of the time.
We don't sell product direct -- only trained and certified Basement Systems' dealerships are authorized to install our products.
Our inspections and estimates are free of charge with no obligaton to purchase. To speak with your local dealer, call us at 800-638-7048 or complete our online form (http://www.basementsystems.com/forms/contact.php).

Why is the system hard to install? Drilling through block is easy with a hammer drill. Cleaning the concrete easy but time consuming. The rest is bonding PVC to a sound basement floor and sealing the joints. Doesn't sound too hard to me. Am I missing something? Thanks, Rick

Are you really here to help people, or to merely sell your product? I believe I have asked some legitimate questions and would appreciate an answer. Before I have your system professionally installed, I would like to know the specifics. Thanks, for your courteous and prompt response. Rick

Rick,
You are not missing anything. I apologize for not responding sooner, but there wasn't much to say, you sound like you're going to install the system yourself and we do not sell our products to consumers, but rather only to our dealerships.
Once you understand how and why to relieve the water pressure, and it sounds like you do with drilling and installing a full-perimeter basement waterproofing system (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/basement_waterproofing_system/), then installing the DryTrak (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/basement_waterproofing_system/drytrak.php) with 100 percent accuracy is next as you stated. If this seal is not sound then water will come through the system, so if it is not done properly you will need to patch the leaks. As a basement waterproofing company (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/basement_waterproofing_contractor.php), we do not want leaks in our system, and it is not the easiest of systems to install properly -- and our customers won't tolerate a leaking system as it could ruin their stored valuables or their finished basement.

Thank you for the response. From what I see, you have a very good product, too bad it is not available to the people who want to do it themselves. In anything, I hate paying for labor that I am confident I can do myself. Rick
