My wife and I just moved into a new home at the end of November. When we moved in there was one crack in the basement that leaked a little bit. Within a couple of weeks we had two on the same wall (under windows) that leaked slightly. Over the last three months we have more cracks. I don't think they leak, but they are on just about all walls of the basement and two are diagonal. We have a 2600 sq ft ranch home and it wasn't cheap.........is there anything we can do about this? What should we expect in this situation? Most of them seem to be getting bigger, from ceiling to floor. I'm very confused as to what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The one thing about concrete you can count on is that it will crack. It is also very common to cracks under windows because it is the weakest point in the wall. Although wall cracks are common the severity depends on One if they are leaking and two if they are turning into structural problems. The best thing to do is contact a local waterproofing and foundation repair specialist to look at the crack. We have several dealers covering areas of Missouri. If you call us at 1-800-541-0487 we can give you the dealer in your area.
