I have been using my basement as a store house of things that I dont use so often. Off late my basement has been giving out a very foul, damp smell. How do i get rid of this. Will fumigation be a good idea? Can I do it myself? Any other suggestions?
Thank u

Have you ever had a wet basement from ground water seepage or an interior plumbing leak?
The musty odor is probably mold spores you smell. Mold spores are active when you have conditions that are conducive to the growth of mold (http://www.basementsystems.com/mold/).

First things, first. Take care of the water problem by contacting your local Basement Systems dealer for a comprehensive evaluation of the area.
Next you should run a dehumidifier (http://www.basementsystems.com/dehumidifier/) which your local dealer can recommend.
