I have a new house with 60 per cent hardwood floors. After purchasing the house I found out there was a flooding problem in the crawl space. Since then a sump pump has been installed but the flooring is cupping and cracking.
I've beem told humidity levels are too high in the crawl space but I also believe the flooring was not properly installed. I received two estimates for the encapsulation system but I am confused. One dealer included the smart pump but the other dealer included the super pump. Is there a difference and if so, what is it besides the fact that one is recommended for basements and the other for crawl spaces? If I decide to proceed with this expensive system hoping it will solve the problem I want the equipment that is best for my situation.

They are basically the same system in regards of the pumps. The difference is the size of the liner, all other components like the CleanPump Stand (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/cleanpump_stand.php), WaterWatch sump pump alarm (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/water_watch_alarm.php), IceGuard anti-freeze device (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/iceguard_discharge.php), airtight sump pump cover (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/sump_pump_cover.php), check valve (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/check_valve.php), and discharge lines are standard features of both systems. The SmartSump is designed for crawlspaces (http://www.basementsystems.com/crawlspace/crawlspace_products/crawlspace_sump_pump.php) because of the height restrictions. The SuperSump is for basements (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/waterproofing_products/sump_pump/super_sump_pump.php) or areas where height restrictions are not of concern.
