Do you have the triple safeguard system with two zoeller pumps??
If so do both pumps need replacement?

hi i have three pumps two zoeller and a battery backup as far as i know only one pump is defective because i dont think they even did preventative maintenance on the second zoeller pump because the time he was there 15 minutes was to short a time to even take the screws off the cover which is good because they would probably damaged that one also when i called them up to tell my problem they did not even offer to come out and check out the problem they just said i need a new pump

Zoellar pumps carry a 1 year warranty from the Zoellar company. Extended warranties can be purchased through the manufacturer. Annual Maintenences are recommended to avoid potential problems. Zoellar is a reliable pump hence Basement Systems dealers choose the most reliable products on the market. It is possible to get a bad pump, it is a mechanical appliance that can fail but the expectancy of the pumps can be up to 20 years.
It is not necessary to replace both pumps in a Triple Safe at the same time but have it looked at to see if it's functioning. The concept to the Triple safe pump system is that if one pump fails the other will take over and if there is large volume of water the pumps can pump more water out at once.

I thought I read somewhere that the system is a lifetime warranty? You are leaking 2 years later and you have to pay for a new pump?

kcas72,
You are correct, the basement waterproofing system comes with a lifetime warranty. The manufacturer of the sump pumps carries a one-year warranty on their pumps. I think that that's the confusion here.
You may have seen some other company's offer a lifetime warranty on their pumps, but that's fairly irresponsible. A warranty does not make a product better, it only says that it will be fixed or replaced when it fails. No pump lasts forever. No pump of any quality comes with more than a one-year warranty. And when do you know that it's time to replace most pumps (if the company doesn't service them as Basement Systems dealers do), when the pump has failed and your basement is wet.
I hope this clears this up.
Thanks,
Richard
