I'm having thermal dry tiles installed next week after having the water guard installed last week. When I rebuild the stud walls, (they were hacked off 2' off the floor with just the corner pieces remaining) I was planning on using 2-1/2 inch "blue" screws to anchor the sill plate and also put a little liquid nails under it as well. Is this a good method? Are 2 1/2 inch screws long enough? I figured that would go through the thermal dry tiles, which will also be anchored and penetrate 1/2 inch into the concrete without going into the water guard. Is there a particular formula of liquid nails that bonds better to the thermal dry tiles?

This should work perfectly fine- the screws will definitely be long enough and that should be strong enough to anchor it. We don't recommend any particular type of liquid nail- we've found that just about any formula will work well.
If you've had moisture around your basement, bear in mind that water vapor can pass both through the floor (which can be stopped by ThermalDry (http://www.basementsystems.com/basement_waterproofing/basement_floor/)) but also through the walls. In most cases, drywall will be susceptible to mold, and even mold-resistant drywall products aren't warranted against mold for very long (ask them how long their warranty is- it's rarely more than 3 years, and the warranty is void if there's a flood).
Before you decide once and for all what you'd like to do with your basement when you refinish it, check out our basement wall system (http://www.totalbasementfinishing.com/basement-finishing/basement-walls.php). It includes R-13 insulation, hardboard panels that can support the weight of 300 pounds per square foot without needing studs, and a 50-year warranty against possible damage from mold and moisture that's good even in a flood.
