Our basement has several issues.

We have cracks in our foundation wall and slab. We also have alkali coming up from our basement floor, which is disturbing the concrete around these areas and water comes into our basement from underneath our footings. We have had a structural engineer look at our basement and he has assured us that our house is still structurally sound and that we need a weeping tile to redirect the water from running under the foundation and up through the footings.

Is exterior waterproofing and weeping tile better then interior? What other fixes will we need to fix our basement?

Please advise, as we would like to finish the basement and renovate this area.

In most cases it is more effective to solve basement water problems from the inside. If you have an issue with water under the slab or floor that needs to be addressed from the inside. Exterior work is usually much more expensive and disruptive as well. I would recommend calling your local Basement Systems dealer for a free inspection and estimate.
