Has anyone heard of a basement waterproofing product called SS13? It was developed to waterproof the bottoms of man-made lakes, and eventually wound up as a basement waterproofing product. I applied it sometime in the 1970's, and it worked very well. Now, a friend needs help and I can't find it offered anywhere. I don't know anything more about it, except that it was applied by digging a 6" trench around the house, putting the produst into the trench, and flooding with water until no more came into the basement.

Hello AuldeCatte,

I am not familiar with the product SS13, but do know that waterproofing has come a long way since the 1970's. Warrantied methods are available through Basement Systems, without having to dig up the outside of the home. Our dealers offer free basement waterproofing estimates (http://www.basementsystems.com/free-estimate.php), so if your friend still needs help, give us a call!

Thank you and good luck!
