View Full Version : Crawl Space Moisture
I have a lot of moisture in my crawl space. If there is a need to install pipe for drainage, is it better to install this drainage under the house or on the outside of the footing?
I am planning to complete re-do my yard and can use either method, but am trying to preplan what work needs to be done and in what order.
Thanks.
Thanks for your question. If you have somewhere to drain the exterior footing drains by gravity you can install them. If you property doesnt permit this you could install interior drains with a sump pump. You should also consider running the downspouts away from the home in seperate solid pipes. If this is a crawlspace you should also consider an encapsulation systems to isolate the ground from the home.
