Floods from Melting Snow: Prepare Now

Snow is coming in many areas of North America (and has even already arrived in some), so make sure your home is ready for potential water problems resulting from snow melting. Heavy snow can create a host of problems and inconveniences for homeowners, but perhaps the worst problem is flooding.

If snow hits an area and temperatures fluctuate, the snow may melt quickly, or rain could come in and add to the already large amount of water on the ground.
