Comment: We have a modern townhouse (10 years old) with a private garage on the ground floor. We'd like to convert half of the garage to a kids playroom. ThermalDry carpet or wood-effect tiles for a 16' x 15' area laid directly on the concrete floor seems good to me. There is a long 2mm crack in the floor though and small patch of efflorescence on the wall. Probably need the crack sealing first and advice on correct paint for the concrete walls. Want to redo so if I get a flood again, just need to drain clean; e.g. water proof flooring, protect walls from exposure, drain of water in basement.
