Comment: Hi I bought a home on a slab with a 42-48 inch foundation.Thehouse has an addition with a similar foundation. The first winter I was here(2years ago) when the snow was melting I heard water running , I jumped up and there was a tube coming from under the furnace dumping water into the floor drain. I found there was a small pump in the plenum of the furnace (counterflow furnace) The duct work had water in it. I can tell it starts from the nearest corner of the addition, They are pvc ducts with sheet metal 90's (elbows) There is a patio bext to the house on that was...the patio does not go all the way to the house on one end there id 16" between the house and patio...the long side is up against the house...Now I had someone come twice and seal where the new foundation meets the old, injected and then the powdered clay. I still see seepage at the plenum befor the water comes for the other corned through the addition duct. There have times I sucked 200 gallons out with a shop vac while the pump ran, that was an extreme case, after it rained all night and I woke up to find the ducts in the entire house full...so I know fill with concrete and go into the attic with the cuct work...but the water is still under or in side the foundation??? This isn't a good thing wither. I am willing to bust out the patio to see if there is a problem, what else can be done??? Thanks
