We are in the process of buying a home and found a crack in the basement wall with some water stains around it during the inspection. We want to evaluate the extent of damage and need an estimate to fill the crack up. The foundation also has some other cracks on outside. You should monitor this area for future signs of moisture intrusion in an effort to identify and correct the source of moisture. There are water stains caused by a prior water leak, the damaged areas are now dry. This makes it difficult to determine if the damage was caused by a prior leak or ongoing water penetration. Recommend to monitor this area for future signs of moisture intrusion in an effort to identify and correct the source of moisture." Before moving on we would like furtrher examination on the basement and determine possible solutions.
