My house was built in the 50 - 60 and is constructed with cement blocks. The foundation was dug and new weeping tiles and membrane were installed bout 2 years ago. However I am noticing water build up in the lower blocks near the footing and it appears as if the moisture seems to be rising with every passing month. We need a subfloor in two basement bedrooms. We have ceramic tile elsewhere and would like a warmer option in the bedrooms. Our house is located above or near an underground stream. The insurance company of the previous owner put in a sump pump with two backups and a new pipe to the street after a flood/sewage backup. The basement retro-fit, unfortunately, only used regular 2x4 and pink batting insulation when redoing the walls. But, we are leaving it as is for now. We have had an issue with pervasive humidity (even though there was no visible leakage), esp. in summer that has been hugely (95%) improved with a vapour removal system (like radon removal system) to remove humidity from underneath the slab. Our bedding used to be damp from the humidity and now it is comfortable, dry and warm. With the removal of this excessive humidity, I now feel confident to look at subfloors. So, I want a subfloor that will not be too high, not leak humidity into the living space, not grow mold, and not be a haven for bugs and dust to hide and migrate to and from the living space. I realize you have carpeted tiles and this might make the most sense financially. However, I am really interested in putting FLOR carpet tiles on top of your ThermalDry panels (maybe next year). Will that work? Or, will I have to put the FLOR down immediately or use a harder surface for these carpet tiles? I am looking forward to meeting someone from your company.

I am interested in installation or just supply of The UltraSump Battery backup sump pump system. Ours is a 1950 house and recent construction in our area has raised the water table. Unfortunately only one area of house is open for locating a sump pump.
