Green Recognition Award

"The purpose of the Green Recognition Program is to showcase the environmental efforts of area businesses, community organizations and individual citizens. The award recognizes that a healthy economy and a healthy environment are mutually supportive."

At Badger Basement Systems, our largest effort of being green is by recycling concrete. Our production crews average 35-40 jobs per week. Many of these jobs involve breaking out concrete at the customer's home and hauling it back to the shop with them. This results in a "mountain" of concrete, which is then broken down and recycled several times a year. 

In addition to recycling concrete, we upgraded work trucks for better emissions, sell energy-efficient products, as well as sponsoring and cleaning up a highway. Inside our office, we upgraded to LED lighting and ductwork to reduce electric usage. Additionally, we recycle batteries, ink cartridges, and are starting to go paperless in certain departments!

We are very proud to accept this award from the City of Fort Atkinson, knowing we're making a positive impact on the environment and hope to encourage other workplaces to do the same!
