We have had 1/4-inch of water underneath the vapor barrier on about half of our home. We believe most of the problem is outside drains and one chain down spout that we tested during a rainstorm about a week ago. We filled a 5-gallon bucket to the brim in 2 minutes. I have placed several fans in the crawl space and there is no more any standing water. I pulled back the vapor barrier in the impacted area and the exposed soil is no longer muddy but is still very damp. We are replacing the chain in the impacted area and are trying to make sure everything is draining away from our house. Non-the-less, it appears to me that there are window well issues as well. I would like to have you check things out and see what we can do to clear up remedy this problem. I also have plants growing all along the edge of the house irrigated with drip irrigation. I wouldn't think the drip system would be adding to the problem, but just don't know.
