Basement view of radon system installation
The doors on the interior above the settlement were difficult to open and close and visibly out of alignment with their frames.
Before photo of the older posts and shifting concrete pillars. The EZ Posts can be seen already installed, sticking up from the ground. The new pressure treated posts were installed on these brackets.
Before attempting to seal very narrow cracks, the first step is to widen them with a masonry saw. This allows the seal to fill the crack completely.
The barrier ensures any moisture coming through the wall will directly lead to the sump pump system.
The existing home was settling and the contractor opted to replace the foundation completely. This new foundation was also settling due to soft ground and a high water table.
