Built-in Basement Floor Drain
Ensuring basement floor drainage

In case of a plumbing leak, an airtight sump pump cover needs to be able to drain water from the basement floor. The built-in floor drains on the TripleSafe, SmartSump, and SuperSump sump pump systems do just that. A simple ball-in-cup drain enables water to go down, but prevents damp air from rising up into the basement.

A floating ball in the drain creates the seal and floats when the cup fills with water. Although this seems like a simple device, be careful with certain products on the market, such as funnels with plastic balls, because due to their shape they don't all work.

To help prevent flooding from interior or exterior causes, Basement Systems' sump pump systems are properly engineered for basement floor drainage.
